Plans sold during Open Enrollment typically start providing coverage January 1, 2021. Healthcare marketplace (Obamacare) open enrollment occurs annually and is the only period of time each year during which you can enroll in a new health plan, switch your plan, or re-enroll in your current plan… Unless you have a qualifying life event.
Obamacare Special Enrollment Period
If you miss open enrollment there are Special Enrollment Periods for which you may qualify. Special enrollment eligibility allows a 60-day window of time during which you can enroll in Obamacare health plans.
